Our 12 Point Programme

1. WE DEMAND THE RIGHT TO DETERMINE THE DESTINY OF OUR COMMUNITY
   1. We believe that Black people and all other people will not be free until they determine their own destiny in their own communities.
2. WE DEMAND FULL EMPLOYMENT FOR OUR PEOPLE
   1. We believe the British Government and Big Business are responsible for and obligated to give every person employment or a guaranteed income. We believe that since businessmen will not give full employment then the means of production, distribution and exchange must be placed in the hands of the people. We want:

i.A decent minimum wage

ii.Equal pay for equal work

iii.Equal promotion prospects based on ability

3. WE DEMAND DECENT HOUSING, BUILT TO THE BEST STANDARDS AVAILABLE, AND AT AFFORDABLE PRICES
   1. We believe that since the landowners and landlords cannot provide the above, then the building industry must be nationalised and place in control of the community to provide it.
4. WE DEMAND FREE EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES THAT ALLOW THE TALENTS OF OUR PEOPLE TO BE DEVELOPED TO THEIR FULL POTENTIAL
   1. Pre-school education
   2. Education of our undeniable contribution to the development of humankind.
   3. Education at the highest standards and to the highest levels
5. WE DEMAND THE FULL EQUALITY OF WOMEN
   1. We believe that Black and Asian Women suffer the double oppression of racism and sexism. We will fight for the right of women to play an equal role in the development of society and in our struggle and to be freed from carrying the sole responsibility of child care to enable them the opportunity to develop their talents and abilities to the full. We demand Black and Asian Women rights to:

i.adequate nursery provision at affordable prices

ii.maternity leave without victimisation

iii.to choose on abortion

iv.be free from domestic violence in all its forms

6. WE DEMAND AN IMMEDIATE END TO POLICE BRUTALISATION OF OUR PEOPLE. We demand:
   1. a community controlled complaints authority to investigate the cases of assault on our community, with the power to give compensation and bring criminal charges against police officers
   2. policy and operational of police by democratically elected representatives from the local communities which they serve
   3. the immediate disbandment of the Instant Response Unit and other specialist units used to terrorise our communities
7. WE DEMAND AN IMMEDIATE END TO THE STATE BRUTALITY OF OUR PEOPLE
   1. We want an end to all racist laws. Abolishment of the nationality and immigration act and a stop to deportation. We want an end to the exploitation of immigrants by granting them amnesty and full citizens rights.
8. WE DEMAND AN IMMEDIATE END TO ATTACKS ON OUR COMMUNITY
   1. are 140,000 racist attacks every year with no redress from the police, local or national government. The only force in society that will protect is ourselves. We believe that where the police are unwilling to defend our community then the community should exercise it’s right to defend itself “by any means necessary”’.
9. WE WANT THE CASES OF BLACK PRISONERS WHO APPEAL AGAINST WRONGFUL CONVICTIONS TO BE REVIEWED BY A PANEL OF THEIR PEERS
   1. We believe that there are thousands of our people who have been convicted on evidence fabricated by the police and colluded with by the judicial system. These cases must be retried and compensation paid where proven. We have been and are being tried by all white juries who have no understanding of the average reasoning person of the Black or Asian community. A peer is a person of similar economic, social, religious, geographical or racial background.
10. WE DEMAND AN END TO DISCRIMINATION IN TRADE UNIONS
    1. Racism remains the biggest obstacle to workers unity and the brake on the harnessing of the most powerful force in society. A demonstrated commitment to fight against racism is a condition of that unity. We believe that Black workers must organise within unions to fight racism and unite the movement to fight for:

i.Abolition of all anti-trade union laws

ii.Better pay and work conditions

11. WE WANT THE CANCELLATION OF ALL THIRD WORLD DEBT AND THE SETTING UP OF A FAIR MEANS OF TRADE AND EXCHANGE BETWEEN COUNTRIES
    1. We believe that the poverty of the so called third world countries is because their wealth is being stolen and misused by the developed countries of the world. We want financial and technical compensation for the centuries of colonial exploitation and destruction of these countries.
12. WE WANT INTERNATIONAL SOCIALIST REVOLUTION TO END THE EXPLOITATION AND RACISM OF THIS CAPITALIST SYSTEM

We believe that the system of capitalism is the source of our oppression. To completely solve the problems of racism and poverty there must be an international revolution led and sustained by the solidarity of the oppressed and exploited people of the world.
